A Sprygin is a Cyrathilian spermcell. It is larger than a human spermcell, and also serves the role as an egg that will bear the embryo. Protected with a membrane that prevents the spermcell from becoming digested by the corrosive acids inside the Cyrathilian stomach. When the sprygin becomes fertilized, an embryo will start to form inside it. The Sprygin filters food from the water that it swims in and shares the nutrinents with the fetus through the umbilical cord.
